Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Allow microphone access the first time. Hold to talk: keep the button pressed while you speak and release to finish. Tap on / off: tap once to start and again to stop — easier for long passages and on phones. With the button focused you can also use Space or Enter.
With spoken punctuation on, say these words on their own and they become marks:
Click anywhere in the page to type or correct a word. New speech goes in at your cursor and replaces selected text. Undo steps back one word or one dictation at a time.
Choose your InPage edition in step 02 and press Copy for InPage, then paste in InPage with Ctrl+V. Text copied from a classic InPage can also be pasted here — it is converted to Unicode automatically.
InPage 3 and 4 understand Unicode. InPage 1 and 2 (“InPage 2000”, and many copies labelled 2009 or 2012) use the older Classic encoding. Run the paste test to find out in a minute.
Your draft stays in this browser’s local storage. Audio may be sent to your browser provider for recognition. Accuracy and language availability depend on that provider. Review the text before using it.
In InPage, open Help › About. Version 3.x or 4.x → choose Unicode. Version 1.x or 2.x → choose Classic. Many copies labelled “2009” are really version 2, so check the number rather than the name.
Copy each test, paste it into an empty InPage page with Ctrl+V, and see which one shows proper Urdu.
Only needed if something looks wrong after pasting.
If letters such as ا ر ل م turn into ? marks, switch the keyboard with Win + Space before copying, or pick the matching option here.
The Classic conversion table is compiled from byte-level facts cross-checked against open-source converters (UmerCodez, ltrc, Kamal Abdali, Bridgeconn) and against a document written by InPage itself.
Your chosen font size and alignment are preserved. Long text continues onto the next image. Images also work as a fallback: place one in InPage like any picture (choose JPG if your InPage does not accept PNG).
This clears your text and the saved draft. You can undo it while this page stays open.
